Been going to breathwork for the last three weeks with the girls here. The atmosphere is so chill and exactly the right vibe. I can’t wait to use the saunas and cold plunge too! Definitely recommend these ladies to anyone looking to try something different and awesome

I learned pretty early on that I did not like going to the gym. I had a 24 Hour Fitness gym pass that I HARDLY used---it was a 7 year membership with a few gap years in attendance! I started to try different things like grappling, boxing, etc. and really liked them all! I realized that doing different things kept me interested but did not have me going back for more. Ever since I joined Fire + Ice, going to the gym 4-5 times a week became easy! Every day is a different structured workout compared to my aimless workouts at 24 Hour Fitness. What has me going back are the coaches and other members of the gym. Everyone there is very welcoming and encouraging, you will not feel intimated. The coaches are super attentive to your form and your safety. I highly recommend Fire + Ice to any new and experienced gym goers.

This is a great box with a great community. Great for all fitness levels and is very family friendly. Murph usually patrols the area. Keeping things in check. The coaches here are extremely attentive and program workouts that are both fun and challenging. The facilities are clean and well kept. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to improve their overall health and well being.

I've been coming to this Crossfit gym for about 6 months and went to a Crossfit gym for the first time in Korea for about 3 months last year. For me, there's three things I look for in a Crossfit gym: quality coaching/instruction, proper equipment, and a good price. I think Fire & Ice does all of these very well. Marcel has done a great job of helping me keep and improve my form for various movements - something I noticed a not all gyms do well. They're also good at accommodating and acknowledging injuries. If you're looking for the best priced unlimited Crossfit in the area - this is your best bet. Areas that could be improved - more rowers/bikes might be needed so larger classes can do certain workouts. Not as much of a problem for morning classes. P.S. Marcel & Jessi: I'm going to get a sub 3 min Fran so I can pick the music. :)

Picking the right trainer/coach is important. You want to make sure that you pick someone who is certified and not just a “workout enthusiast.” When you walk into Fire & Ice, you will see that all of the trainers/coaches are certified. These Coaches are seriously the best in LA! They are so big on form and safety. They are big on warming up your body before doing the “WOD” or work out of the day. I can’t emphasize enough on how big they are on safety. Every day is different in terms of movement. You will never have the same class within the same week or month. I guarantee you. They mix up their classes every day. If you are injured, they will work around your injury. For example, if you have a shoulder injury, Coach Jesi or Coach Marcel will not let you do Overhead Presses or any form of pressing movement unless you received clearance from a medical professional. They will work around your injury by asking you to do movements that won’t hurt your shoulder such as front squats. This is something that I completely appreciated! As someone who has been injured, I didn’t have to walk in feeling “oh man, I can’t do today’s work out and therefore I will skip.” They encourage you to come and move that body! They will always find another movement that won’t aggravate your current injury. Not only do they offer CrossFit classes to adults, they also offer it to CrossFit Kids! If you have a child and want them to be more active, they will enjoy these classes. I see them playing “games” that embodies teamwork and always functional movements. You will find yourself enjoying your workouts and being part of a special community. This place is truly a diamond in the rough.
